This Cotes-du-Rhone, rich and elegant, combines a good structure with delicacy. Red berry aromas prevail in the smell and during the tasting.
With its excellent terroir, this wine exudes ripe aromas and richness to the wine.
Fragrant violet with a burst of red berry fruits lingering softly on a velvety texture.
Dark red colour with garmet undertones with powerful nose showing good ripeness and exhibiting wild Mediterranean herbs and red fruits. Good attack on the palate, with ripe and silky tannins enhancing the intensity of the fruit flavours.
A powerful and aromatic wine, with notes of ripe red fruits, hint of freshness, balance and harmonious tannins. Definitely an easy drinking wine.
The 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape is a seductive, red fruited blend of 70% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 8% Mourvèdre and 5% Cinsault (plus bits of Counoise and Muscardin) that’s already dangerously drinkable. Garrigue scents accent raspberry fruit in this full-bodied but silky wine that ends on crisp notes of orange zest.
It does boast attractive notes of red fruits on the nose—strawberries and raspberries come to mind—but also some minty, stemmy notes. It’s full-bodied but also a bit herbal and astringent on the palate, with a drying finish and a rather uncertain future.
