Description/ Tasting Notes

The 2016 La Fleur de Boüard, is medium to deep garnet-purple colour and a little youthful. Medium to full-bodied, earth-laced palate framed by very fine-grained tannins and wonderful freshness, finishing on a lingering mineral note.

Winery Info/ Brand

Château La Fleur de Boüard comes from the profound belief of its owner, Hubert de Boüard de Laforest, in the rich potential of Lalande-de-Pomerol terroirs. Supported by his daughter, Coralie, he applies his technical and oenological know-how in a new, environmentally friendly approach to wine growing. With precision and sustainable purpose, the de Boüard family makes wines with outstanding elegance that compare with the greatest Bordeaux appellations.

Region Info/ Origin

Lalande-de-Pomerol is a wine appellation of the Right Bank of the Bordeaux region in southwestern France. It lies just to the north of the more-prestigious Pomerol title, in the area known as the Libournais, after the city of Libourne. Only red wines are classified under the Lalande-de-Pomerol AOP. They are made predominantly from Merlot, but may also contain Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec.
