Description/ Tasting Notes

Elegant, rich, well balanced wine with ripe currant, bell pepper, spice and vanilla notes. Complex, long and well proportioned, with touch of tobacco with more flavour than most from this vintage.

Winery Info/ Brand

The Pichon Baron estate, Second Cru Classé in 1855, is a historic vineyards of Bordeaux. Produced from the region of Grand Vin, Château Pichon Baron has a rigorous selection policy in the vineyard and in the cellars to capture a pure expression from the unique terroir. The selection that comes from this great estate, has an enduring reputation that will remain in the same family for several generations.

Region Info/ Origin

Pauillac is home to several of the world's most famous wine and the region lies in an inauspicious small village in Médoc. Pauillac sprawls over the land size of about 8.8 square miles, is highly optimised for wine production and accounts for a rather disproportionate amount of fine, expensive wine in Bordeaux.
