Description/ Tasting Notes

Deep garnet-purple coloured, nose bursting from the glass with flamboyant scents of stewed black plums, crème de cassis, dark cherry, plum purée and Black Forest cake, plus suggestions of Indian spices, unsmoked cigars, pencil shavings and espresso. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, delivering impactful black fruit preserves and exotic spice layers, framed by plush tannins and a lively backbone, finishing long and spicy.

Winery Info/ Brand

The Pichon Baron estate, Second Cru Classé in 1855, is a historic vineyards of Bordeaux. Produced from the region of Grand Vin, Château Pichon Baron has a rigorous selection policy in the vineyard and in the cellars to capture a pure expression from the unique terroir. The selection that comes from this great estate, has an enduring reputation that will remain in the same family for several generations.

Region Info/ Origin

Pauillac is home to several of the world's most famous wine and the region lies in an inauspicious small village in Médoc. Pauillac sprawls over the land size of about 8.8 square miles, is highly optimised for wine production and accounts for a rather disproportionate amount of fine, expensive wine in Bordeaux.
