Description/ Tasting NotesDeep cherry colour, with garnet tones. The three vintages which form the wine give complexity in aroma. Cabernet Sauvignon variety recognized presence emphasizes an intense ripe fruit aroma, liquorice with mineral and balsamic hints. Oak wood is really well integrated thanks to the softening in foudre which gives an elegant delicacy to the wine. On the palate it shows a fatty and mouthfilling entrance continuing until a lingering and long end. The perceived aromas on the nose are transferred to the mouth which allows the enjoyment of a flavorful aroma with ripen tannins and memories of liquorice, fruit, coffee.

Located in the heart of one of most privileged areas in the DOC, Izadi has always been at the pinnacle of producing quality wine, based on new concepts and its quality soil and terroir for more than 35 years old, located within the triangle formed by the villages Samaniego, villabuena y ábalos. In this area, Izadi plants tempranillo on lime clay soils. With the microclimate influence from the Cantabria mountains and the Ebro river, it assures low yield and small grapes but with great quality. Izadi produces around 900,000 bottles of the following brands: Izadi blanco fermentado en barrica, Izadi crianza, Izadi el regalo reserva e Izadi expresión.
Region Info/ Origin
Ribera del Duero was conferred a title of Spanish Denominación de Origen (DO) located in the country's northern plateau and is one of eleven "quality wine" regions within the autonomous community of Castile and León. It is also one of several recognised wine-producing regions to be found along the course of the Duero river. The region is characterised by a largely flat, rocky terrain and is centred on the town of Aranda de Duero. Although the most famous vineyards surround Peñafiel and Roa de Duero to the west, where the regional regulatory council or Consejo Regulador for the denominación is based. Ribera del Duero was named wine region of the year 2012 by the prestigious Wine Enthusiast Magazine.
