First Creek Wines is a family owned and operated winery based in the Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia’s oldest wine producing region. The talented family of winemakers at First Creek comprises of Liz, Shaun and Greg Silkman.
They lead a team of winemakers with a passion for wine and aspire to transform the best fruit characteristics into premium varietal wine styles.
In 2015, First Creek Wines was awarded a remarkable 11 Trophies and 26 Gold Medals, across five wine shows, for their Semillon, Chardonnay and Shiraz wines. Liz is considered by her peers to be one of Australia's leading winemakers, and is a former dux of the Len Evans Tutorial. In 2016 and 2011 Chief Winemaker, Liz was named Hunter Valley Winemaker of the Year at the Hunter Valley Legends Awards.

The Hunter Valley, north of Sydney in New South Wales, is one of Australia's major wine regions, with a viticultural history dating back to the early 1800s. Known for varietals such as Semillon and Shiraz, it’s home to numerous wineries, including world-renowned brands and family-run boutique operations. Most are located south of the Hunter River and offer cellar door wine tastings and vineyard tours.
