Description/ Tasting Notes
Vibrant and silky, this slides down almost too easily, with delicious red and black currant fruit laced with hints of anise, violet and black tea. A flicker of singed balsa wood keeps the finish going along. Sweet mulberry, black cherry, licorice, and forest floor notes dominate this medium-bodied, fleshy and soft wine.Winery Info/ Brand

Reserve de La Comtesse is the Second Wine of Château Pichon Lalande that existed as early as the 19th century with a record showing in 1890 that four bottles of the vintage 1874 Second Wine were shipped to the Moscow Exhibition. Due to the popular preference for its year of production of the Reserve de la Comtesse, the label was sold for the first time in 1973.
Region Info/ Origin

Pauillac is home to several of the world's most famous wine and the region lies in an inauspicious small village in Médoc. Pauillac sprawls over the land size of about 8.8 square miles, is highly optimised for wine production and accounts for a rather disproportionate amount of fine, expensive wine in Bordeaux.
