About Margaux

The wines of Margaux are the epitome of elegance, and are famous for their velvet like textures, along with their characteristic perfumed floral aromatics. The typical aromas and flavours of Margaux’s wines include plum, blackcurrant, cigar box and violets. Margaux is the warmest, major appellation in the Left Bank, and has the lightest and gravelliest soils in the Médoc. The best vineyards are located on well-drained slopes, and produce wines with sensuous textures that marry power with elegance and silky tannins. Despite their elegance, Margaux wines retain the ability to be aged for several decades.
