Discover the Semillons of France and Australia

Loved for its full body, Semillon is widely grown in Bordeaux, and is an important blending component in White Bordeaux.
It is also grown successfully in Australia's Hunter Valley, and tastes completely unlike any wine produced from Semillons in other regions of the world. Australia's most expensive Semillons are the sweet ones made in the image of Sauterness. They can be very impressive when young.  
Semillons of key appellations around the world range from the zesty, palate-cleansing, to the rich and creamy.
Semillon pairs well with spicy food and Asian cuisine, and works well with shellfish and chicken with cream sauce.
